Project Overview
The production floor had a visibility problem. Workers across departments — including shipping, production, and fulfillment — had no centralized place to check order status, confirm artwork approvals, or read notes left by CSRs and managers. That meant constant trips away from workstations, miscommunication between teams, and lost time on every shift.
Our Approach
This began as a week-long sprint with a cross-functional team. I owned all of the front end — designing and building the panel interface from the ground up. The goal was a display that required zero interaction: mount it on the wall, and it just works.
Each panel pulls live order data and surfaces what the floor actually needs — orders grouped by status and urgency, approved artwork thumbnails, and cross-department notes — all auto-refreshing and filterable by department. The UI was designed to be readable at a glance, have clear and Super easy to cross examine product mockups, with clear visual hierarchy and status-based color coding.
Key Features
Real-time order status display grouped by urgency and department
Approved artwork thumbnails visible at the point of packing
CSR and manager notes surfaced without any manual lookup
Auto-refresh — no interaction required from floor staff
Department and role-based filtering across all panels
Impact
The shipping lead reported cutting his packing time in half after launch. With artwork approvals and order details visible directly at his station, he no longer had to cross-reference multiple systems or leave his area to confirm what went in each box.
