Project Overview

Custom webstores for apparel programs sound simple — until you're chasing clients over email for logo files, size ranges, shipping rules, and store close dates while trying to keep an internal team aligned on specs that keep changing. Every new store was a new round of friction.

I've built and managed custom e-commerce storefronts for clients including the Florida Department of Health, the Florida Department of Transportation, Wharton Smith Contractors, schools across Orange and Lake County districts, and Kia — ranging from ongoing company stores to pop-up shop style seasonal programs.

My Approach

Stores are built on WordPress, migrated from an earlier InkSoft workflow. But the bigger process improvement wasn't the platform — it was the intake. I designed a structured form that either a CSR or the client fills out directly, capturing almost everything needed to get a store live in a single submission. No more chasing. No more miscommunication about specs. No more delays waiting on a detail that should have been collected on day one.

From there the build is straightforward: SKUs configured, storefront assembled, QA checked, and launched. Ongoing stores get regular maintenance and monitoring to keep everything running clean.

Key Features

  • Custom WordPress storefronts built per client

  • Structured intake form usable by CSRs or clients directly

  • SKU setup, product configuration, and storefront QA

  • Pop-up and ongoing store formats supported

  • End-to-end ownership from intake through post-launch maintenance

Impact

Store setup time was cut roughly in half. The intake form eliminated the three biggest friction points in one shot — chasing missing info, internal miscommunication, and launch delays. What used to be a drawn-out back-and-forth is now a single form submission and a build.
